CrowGPT learned from recordings made by people who went out, stood still, and pointed a microphone at a bird, then gave the result away under a Creative Commons licence. Every one of them is listed here, with the ID of each recording.

All of it comes from Xeno-canto. Each ID links back to the recording on their site, where the original audio, the notes and the exact licence live.
